Including organic juices, multi-grain toast with gourmet fruit jams made with herbs grown in our Biodynamic Urban Farm or local raw honey, overnight oats and yogurt parfait homemade at the inn. The entire property of Inn at Moonlight Beach is enveloped by a connected, living, biodynamic urban farm that yields both stunning vistas and productive landscapes of medicinal herbs, cut flowers, succulents, and delicious vegetables, fruit and tea that we love to share and savor with our guests.
All of our rooms include a garden basket with shears for guests to join our innkeepers in harvesting fruit, vegetables, tea, medicinal herbs from our biodynamic farm.

Our WELLNESS LAB in our “Guest Lounge” is a place for creation, community and education. Here we offer friendly hands-on workshops, classes and one-on-one consulting, inspired by all things sustainability and wellness. In our Moonlight Makers’ Workshops guests enjoy a hands-on experience and the how-to knowledge to create something that they can then take home with them. Some of our Moonlight Maker’s Workshop topics include: Honey Herb Infusion, Soap, Salve + Candle Making, Dry Herb Rack and Sustainable Biodynamic Garden Workshop. In collaboration with our Innkeepers, local artisans and wellness providers, our Wellness Lab offerings are informative, fun-filled and seasonally ever-changing.

The Inn at Moonlight Beach is located just a short 7-10 min walk from Moonlight State Beach. It is one of the most family friendly beaches in Southern California. This wide, sandy beach offers swimming, surfing and fishing. Facilities include volleyball and tennis courts, recreational equipment rentals and a snack bar.
Surfer Magazine ranked Moonlight beach #3 best surf town in the world. Surfboard, paddle board, and bike rental shops are conveniently located between the Inn and the beach.
The Inn is situated right in Downtown Encinitas. You can walk to the center of downtown in 5-10 minutes or pick up a shared E-Bikes at entrance of Cotton Creek Park, next to the Inn to explore our beach town and adjacent ones, too, like Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Carlsbad. Or you can ride the light rail train called the Coaster north to Oceanside, San Juan Capistrano or south to Downtown San Diego.
