All You Need to Know About the San Diego Botanic Garden

Garden Background

The San Diego Botanic Garden’s tagline is “Where plants grow people.” That simple description speaks volumes about the purpose of this beautiful space! The organization’s mission has long been to inspire people of all ages to connect with nature. Back in the early 1900s, however, the land consisted of unclaimed barley fields. Until the mid-20th century, the property had been used as an avocado farm and personal ranch. Since then, the space has been used for educating the public about horticulture and sustainable growing! Thousands of people from all over the world come to visit and experience the garden’s colorful history each year. You should, too!
