Some of the best local food, produce, and artisanal shopping can be found at the Leucadia Farmers Market. It’s tucked away on an elementary school lot and offers plenty of breakfast and lunch options between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. You can walk here from The Inn at Moonlight Beach in under 15 minutes!
Coastal Roots Farmstand
Though not technically a full-blown farmers market, the Coastal Roots Farmstand offers some of our town’s best locally grown food. We also love this spot for its sustainable agriculture practices, food justice activism, and ancient Jewish wisdom! The farmstand is only a 25-minute walk from The Inn! Visit on Tuesday or Thursday between 2 and 5 p.m.
Carlsbad Village Farmers Market
Located in the neighboring town of Carlsbad, this vibrant street fair-style market offers plenty of crafts, fresh food, and live music each week. Stop on the train or take a ride-hailing service to get here in just 10 minutes!
Solana Beach Farmers Market
The Solana Beach Farmers Market is another Encinitas-area event worth checking out! This is the place to be if you seek organic, locally certified food products. Be on the lookout for one-of-a-kind crafts and specialty products, as well! This market is held on Sundays between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
